converting the temperature controls?

Want to convert the passenger temperature controls from manual to digital in a 2005 Camry LE.

There is a wrecked one at the auto salvage yard.
What parts do I need?

Thank you,

The first thing needed are wiring diagrams for both systems. The units are completely different along with wiring.

Auto uses a blower motor control unit to replace the resister pack with manual. An AC control assy replaces the manual control. Then need to revise wiring to engine control module, clock and swap temp sensors.

If the cars harnesses are not the same, you will need to swap harnesses or swap wires within the harness.

You best bet is with wiring diagram in hand, start to remove the obvious auto components such as control system, then trace back ever wire going to it. And if possible remove the harness or at least the wiring.

The air ducts are electrically controlled in both systems. One issue is if their wiring colors and harness plugs are the same for both systems. But suppose you could just grab the complete wiring and even servo motors.

The auto has an outside air temp sensor in the front of the car.

You need wiring diagrams as will never be able to the job without them or assume find all the components.

This stated if enough time should be able to remove all components and wiring.

If you do go this route, talk to the salvage yard and reserve the right to come back and remove more parts or wiring for the system in case you missed something.

The main issue is the wiring harnesses may not be the same. Don't assume just because you have the components they will plug into the wiring. The wiring may be specific to auto or manual wires and bundled with other non-AC wiring making removal difficult.
