Default Cruise Control

I have 2000 camry, and the cruise control stopped working. I am also getting a P1705 code. Would it be safe to assume that the direct clutch speed sensor stopped working?

Can also be an open or short circuit in the wiring.

Sensor resistance should be 560-680 ohms.

Connect a voltmeter to the sensor. Obtain a magnet. Position the magnet close to the front of the sensor and pull it rapidly away. The meter should show some voltage being generated.

Might also search the web for possible TSB's for this code.
