Dead 92 camry

Okay, I got a 92 camry in okay condition.

First thing that is wrong. Well one day we were driving on the highway and everything started to dim out. battery light came up than the car started to slow down than later it died. So I'm guessing its the battery, so I bought a new battery and replace it. Battery light stays on though when I installed the new battery but it drove. It drove than it happen again. So we replace the alternator. Than the car drove. Than for a little bit it started to happen again and than it DIED. Now the car is dead for good. Anyone else know whats wrong with the car?? Default wires?? Its a new battery and alternator. Any help will do. Thanks..

I would clean the ground connections. Trace the negative battery cable where it is bolted to the engine/chassis and remove and clean. I would also do the same for theground connection engine to chassis. You can also do the postive cable but disconnect battery first so you don't accidently short it to ground.

2fast you need an alternator. the alternator is the part that charges the battery. when it goes bad the battery will only last for a matter of an hour give or take. the battery light comes on when there is no charging voltage. the battery puts out 12v but to charge it requires 13-14v and if the voltages drops below 12.5 the light will come on. replace the alternator and have your new battery charged up before you start it with the new alternator and you should be back and running.
