driver seat seperating
 

2012 -- the area u sit on is seperating from the right side outer trim area that is a different color. No thread appearing, is this glued together?

on typical mass produced seats
the fabric trim sections and outer is sewn seams and joins
then pulled over the glued ..shaped foam of the seat

a fix that lasts
remove the seat from the car
the seat cover needs to be released from the seat frame (special clips/staples )
and re sewn at the joins..
new foam shaped if damaged
. then repaired fabric cover re fitted to the seat frame

options

a motor trimmer to repair

find a wrecking yard with same 2012 camry model trim and seat and replace the whole seat

since no threads appearing, not sure if sewn, though u could be right since I did add some foam to the seat 2.5 yrs ago since I was hitting bottom-toyota & honda have hard seats. It might of happened during that repair & they didn't sew it or just blew it off & I just now noticed it. It's a power seat in nice condition, it's minor now unless it gets worse. Just wondering if i could bead a line of glue in the split?
