DVD Navigation Problem-2007 Camry Hybrid
I recently replaced my Denso DVD navigation map U31, version 06.1 (2006) with a Denso DVD navigation map U91, version 9.1 2007-2010. Problem is, when I loaded this new DVD in I get the following message: "The external system is not connected" "DVD check in process". Nothing will load, and on top of this, I can't eject the map DVD now! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to go to the dealership and get charged an arm and a leg for something that might be able to be solved in an easier, and cheaper manner! Thanks in advance for any help!

I had the same thing happen to me today. I've brought it to a shop to have them replace one of the 6x9 speakers, and I told the guy to check it out the head unit. Did you resolve this issue? If so, how did you do it/what happened? I'm curious. Thanks in advance, Gregory |
Have no idea but:
The Denso system is used in many make/models of cars, don't limit your search to Toyota only. Others have had these messages for no apparent reason. Do a search on: "Denso" & "The external system is not connected" Might also check out the PRIUSchat and Toyotanation websites. |
