Ive got a nagging problem that needs solving.

I have a 2002 2.4 G model--sold in Thailand

The problem is that it seems quite often that if i park the car-get out dont lock the doors with remote or otherwise-the when i get back and try to start the car-it wont start--just turn the key-all the lights go on etc--but nothing happens--i have to mess around with the door remote control etc.. and eventually it just starts working.

This never has happened when i get out and lock with remote and then unlock with remote.

Also, probably related, is that sometimes when stopping, turning off engine and getting out--the beeper thing beeps and the doors wont lock--

normally when all is ok there are no beeps while getting out of car

anyone have any ideas?--its starting to be quite inconvenient--especailly when the car wont start

 

If you lock the doors with remote or manually then come back the car starts. If you leave the car without locking the doors the car does not start.

If this happens every time this suggest the theft system my "think" the car is being stolen.

The system may be able to be reprogrammed to allow starting the car without locking and unlocking the doors but don't have the info her. Have you checked the owners manual?

Beeping is the security system telling you something. 1 beep, 2 beep, etc.

 

i think i just want to disable the immobilizer system--anyone know how to do that?
