Engine Leak in 1995 Camry
 

[:@] I am driving my sisters 1995 toyota camry it has 115, 000 miles on it. I have relplaced the radiator, battery, and just replaced the resivoir hose, thinking i had a leak coming from the hose. I am losing powerstearing fluid and have to fill every other week, driving approximetly 150 miles a week. after cleaning and replacing te hose, we found it was not the source of the leak! i is coming from above the oil pan, and seems to be oil. my oil level does not move, and i do not have to replenish. At the rate this leak is going, if it was oil i would be having to fill every time i drove! within 2 minutes I had about a good size spill on the floor! what is the cause of this leak? it seems to be coming out right above the oil pan, possibly the oil pump? and how much money will it run me to fix it? if i will have to replace gaskets, or pumps, or anything, i dont want to put a lot of money into this car.

Hello,
I have a 92 camry 4cyl. I was having a lot of leaking. When I replaced the pcv valve most of the leaks stopped. When the pcv valve is not operating correctly the oil chamber becomes pressurized. The PCV valve is supposed to give venting to that chamber.

Try the PCV valve.

The color of the fluid in your pics is red - trans or PS fluid. From what you say you've figured it out - it's the PS system. Could be shaft seal or hose connections, even leaking steering rack. You'll have to clean the PS systemoff and then watch closely to see where the leak is.

I'd also check your trans fluid level and differential fluid level.
