Engine number—when was it made?
 

Greetings: My ride has what looks to be a replacement 1MZ-FE engine. Anyone know how to date the engine production?*6 523374 is what is stamped on the block.

The number doesn’t match the VIN. Just curious as to what year of car this engine came from.
