I need to replace the expansion valve in my 92. Is there an easy way to do this. From the looks of things, it apears I damn near need to take the entire car apart. Its the 4 banger 2200, if that helps. ( yeah, I spelled ''expansion'' in the title wrong)

 

I've never replaced one personally, but they are usually located right up at the AC evaporator- which is buried inside the HVAC unit. It usually requires major dash disassembly to access it. I wish i could be of more help.
