Default Feel so much drag than my old camry

Hello,

I just bought a used 2005 Camry LE 2.2L.
As I drive it, I feel so much drag than my old 99 Camry 2.2L.
Has anyone felt that way?
My old Camry keeps going almost the same speed (not much feeling any drag, sometimes wishing to have some drags) even though I take my foot offthe accellerator, which allows meto enjoy driving!
This newer Camry, as soon as I take my foot offthe accellerator, it starts dragging so much; it stops after a few tens of yards (at tens of miles/hour) without breaking, which I hate.
Is this normal for newer Camrys these days?
If not, is there any remedy for this?
BTW, I took this car to a near Toyota Dealer (I did notbuy from them) and had it tested; the mechanic says it is normal (Is this true? I cannot believe Toyota makes like this; or is this to increase gas mileage?).
Thanks a lot for any advice.

The new toyota's have the fuel to the engine cut off when then the throttle is closed. This is the extra drag.
