Cool flat

first flat on 2012 le, 45k, called firestone & they rebuild pressure monitor every time u take a tire off. Manuel says u just have to reset low press warning. Wondering if I really need to do what firestone store says. Firestone affininty touring.

Ask them specifically what they call a build kit.

On flat repairs a tire store may replace the tire stem, but the pressure monitor has a replaceable seal. It is reasonable to replace the monitor seal which comes in a kit. They also might replace the battery.

will the pressure monitor still work if I don't replace the seal, I'll replace tires in a yr..

The monitor will work.

Replacing the seal is insurance against air leaking.
