Fuse Blown & can't get out of Park!

All the dash functions are down and the transmission won't shift out of park.
The engine starts and the dome light works.

I did a fairly good job of looking for obvious blown fuses without finding one.

Any suggestion?

This occurred during a repair.
While changing the timing belt I accidentally touched the negative battery cable against its post while the alternator battery cable was grounded against the engine. It arched.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Hugh

The car should have a bypass for the shift lock. Look on the shift console for a small plastic cover or slot. Under the cover is a mechanical switch, find something that fits into the slot, push down on the switch while pulling the shift lever out of park.

You will need to repeat the process if you move the selector back into park.

Check the CIG, ECU-IG and STOP fuses.

The bypass button worked great. Thanks for the tip.
I did a better look at the fuses and found the ALT 100A fuse is blown.

Now I need to figure out how to remove and replace that fuse.
It doesn't want to just pull out and I am having trouble understanding how the sub-assembly it is plugged into is removed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I responded to your other post about the alt post. See that post for details.
