Default glove box noise

2012 LE, there is static noise, isolated next to glove box, left side there are 2 silver pins between the box & side. Does anyone know what these pins are for, called dealer...no one knows but says it does have a function if its there.

2nd look, could be the lock. They are not pins after all, looks more like a bracket mount. Sprayed some silicone.

There is a reset button and computer. The button in the glove compartment is the reset button.

If removing electrical parts disconnect battery first. When all is reconnected, connect battery.

If I could figure out how to post a pic I'd post a picture of the breakdown of the glove box from the actual Toyota parts catalog

Take a pic and then respond to post by clicking 'advanced' button instead of 'quick reply' and there is an option to attach file. Look for the little paperclip icon.

it's the lock part that I'm after, haven't figured out how to access it. The press release button & lock appear to be an enclosed structure.
