Got it running. Now it wont go into gear!

Hey guys. Im back with another camry issue. 1993 2.2 L manual, 135k.

So after I replaced the coil. I went to take the car out and whattya know it wont go into gear. Thought I knew the problem but im lost now. I replaced the master cylinder and slave cylinder about a month ago and it shifted perfectly. I adjusted the bolt on the master cylinder a hundred times and I got it into gear but it doesnt shift smoothly at all when driving. I bled the clutch umpteen times. Also I bypassed the clutch switch and cruise switch. You guys are so helpful so if anyone has a suggestion please share it.

Please dont tell me I need a clutch!

Thanks

Did you separately bleed both master and slave cylinders?

Check pedal free play at the pedal. Should have 0.20-0.59 inch of free play.

Check clutch release point for pedal location. With engine at idle and pedal up, slowly attempt shift into reverse. When the trans gears start to grind on each other slowly depress the pedal until the noise stops. Pedal travel between full up and release point should be more then 0.98 inches.

Ive only bled it at the slave cylinder. Is there a valve on the master as well?

Don't think so.

Disconnect the line at master cylinder. Place a container under the now open hole in the valve body to catch the fluid. Have someone press the pedal to the floor and hold. When pedal is down use your finger to seal off the port to keep air from coming in the when pedal is released. Release the pedal.

Repeat this process 4-5 times then reconnect the line and re-bleed the slave.
