(HELP)Removing 1995 Toyota Camry LE automatic shift knob

Hi guys. I need your help. I have a 95 Camry LE that I wanted to change the automatic shift knob to an aftermarket one. The thing is, I need help knowing how to take it out. If you guys can help tell me how to do this, or have any references please type them down. It would be very helpful.

The shop manual has nothing on replacing the shift knob itself. Might try asking at the Toyotanation website.

You can access the shifter base by removing a panel that goes around the shift arm and emergency brake handle.

The front of the panel sides under part of the center console where the open glove box is, the rear is pushed down into rectangle hole of console.

The panel has a clip molded into each side of the panel about 3/4 of the way back from the front of the panel. One on each side. When the rear of the panel is pushed down, the clips retract then spring out under the console edge to hold the panel in place.

Use a taped over flat screw driver of something else that is thin to wedge between the panel and center console housing at the location of the clip to push the clip back. Then gently pry the panel up, starting at the rear.

Once the rear of the panel is free, the panel can be pulled out.
