HELP .. wheels locked '89 LE

Hey its a great car .. my late fathers .. so I want to get it
going ..its been sitting awhile
I pulled the emergency brake too hard and it stuck on !! Then I tried
to get the brake to release by putting on the juice brakes[/b] but a line
burst (centre rear) I took the rear wheels off to see if I could free
the hubs but the calipers seem ok .. the inner hub moves... one side
emergency brake line has been cut. No I can't move the wheels with the tire on ... caliper pads are tight. However .. how can they be so bad I ca't even MOVE the car an inch !!
I can't move the car out of underground garage because the wheels are
locked[/b] !! ... I suppose the front wheels are locked[/b] as well or have an
em.brake there too ..??
Yup the engine revs .. seems no power will turn those wheels ..
transmission is locked[/b] ?? no fluid? not sure .. any help or where to
look ??

Should I take the calipers off .. re do them ...?? I was planning to take car to garage to repair the broken fluid line and emerg brake lines

thanks a lot for all help

RE: HELP .. wheels locked '89 LE

you will need some clearence both in front and behind the car and at least a couple of blocks on the wheels, (to make sure you don't have a runaway). when cars sit around for a while, parts will rust up and get stuck so give this a try. with the engine warmed up and running, try shifting it back and forth from reverse to drive several times. if the car was parked and normally driven to that garage space, chances are this trick will work. BUT, DON'T FORGET TO BLOCK THE WHEELS!
if it starts to move, remember, it has no rear brakes due to the busted brake line so just turn the key off to stop it. I'm assuming you will tow it to the shop right? Good Luck and be careful!
