RE: how to remove anchors in trunk.
The liner is typically held in place by small plastic tabs with serrated points. The tabs press into a round hole, the serrated edges grip the hole and prevent it from backing out.

RE: how to remove anchors in trunk.
So How Do you remove the tabs besides taking the car to the dealer or Joe's Garage and pay him $7.00 per bulb to replace them?? I picture myself tearing up the hood trying to fix the problem.
I have a 2002 toyota cambry and I'd like to see the picture of you guys or gals replacing the bulbs for the lie. plate. Pleaseshow me that site. The manuel says take it to the dealer.
Thank You for all your kind information ,You have helped me already.

RE: how to remove anchors in trunk.
The manual states to grab the light assembly and pull it to what looks like the right then pull out.
There appears to be a plastic hook on one side of the assy and a leaf spring type plastic flexible hook on the other. These engage slots in the sheet metal behind the assy.
Pulling the assy to one side compresses the flexible hook allowing the other hook to be pulled out of a slot.

It's really easy to remove the rear speakers. First, get in the trunk and find the 3 white anchors for the rear deck-they're near the rods for the trunk mechanism. Push them through the metal frame to free the deck. Next, you have to get in the back seat and remove the stop light from the deck. To do this, push in the pins on the locking mechanisms on either side of the light to free the back casing. Pull the pins out and the casing off. Next, undo the two bolts holding the stop light in place and pull it off-don't forget to undo the wiring harness. Next, find the three anchoring points for the back seat. Gently lift the two side ones free of their anchors. This gives you access underneath the deck. Free the deck and gently lift it over the seat. You'll have to jimmy it a little to get the locking clamps free--they're all along the back of the deck. Pull it free and you have access to the speakers. I believe the factory speakers are 5 1/4 inches.
