location of lamp sensor 1990 camry wagon?

I've read a few threads on the lamp sensor "yellow box" but i can't find the location for a camry wagon.

i took the inside panel off on the tailgate but found no yellow box.
there was a white box on the drivers side of the tailgate but i am unsure if its the lamp relay.

thanks

Look on drivers side of car, in area rear of the rear wheel well, at about the same height as top of rear bumper. Sensor is area between wheel well and rear door.

Box has yellow, yel/green, grn, light grn, w/b, grn/w and grn/red wires.

thanks toyomoto.

Do I remove the interior rear panel on the driver's side to access the yellow box?

I looked on the drivers side at the back in the compartment where the spare tire and jack are located but couldn't see it.

Joey, sensor is located near the rear wheel well as you suggested.

seems there's a few interior panels i have to remove to get to it, and ...emm.. i broke a plastic section of the tailgate panel because i don't have a diagram of the fastener locations for panels.

does anyone know where i can get a diagram for the back side fastener locations are (no haynes manual for 1990 wagon in town) so i don't crack the panel

i found this site it diagrams the body electrical system.
seems like an informative link and may be helpful to others:

diagnosis for tail lights do not light (while headlights work) is:
1. tail fuse
2.tail control relay
3. light control switch
4. light control relay
5 wire harness

Thanks for getting back with results.

Take note of a recent member post about examining circuit board for overheating and resoldering those connections making unit now operational.
