locked out of 95 camry

My wife's friend has locked her self out of her 95 camry and i have been able to pry the door open just a little to stick a metal rod down and press the unlock button but it will not unlock. When i press the button to lock it will make the sound like it is locking. I was able to pop the trunk thinking that i could push the seats down but i don't see a lever to unlatch them. Can any either tell me how to get the seats down from the trunk or give me an alternative solution?

Does she have towing & labor listed on her insurance? If so, call the insurance company and they will send a professional to get the door open, and there won't be a fee.

RE: locked out of 95 camry

I drove a 95 Camry for at least 3 years and I don't think you can get to the latch to put down the seats from the trunk. You can try to remove part of the trunks carpet to see if you can find any connection from the latching mechanism to disengage the latch. AAA could help you out with their slim jim. I got my slim jim at one of those 99 cent stores but I haven't tried it on my Camry yet.
