Loose Cruise control wire

I have a 1991 Camry with cruise control. About 20 years ago, I was stretching my legs and took loose a brown wire coming from a 4A fuse. I never found where the other end of it was supposed to be. I have been driving with that silly brown wire hanging loose since the mid 1990s.

I was hoping someone with a 1991 model would be able to tell me where the other end goes.

Obviously I'm not in a hurry.:)

Did this wire have an inline fuse? If so chances are it was connected to some aftermarket device as Toyota does not use them.

There is an inline fuse. It is tie-wrapped to the steering shaft I think. In any case, it isn't in a junction box.

I'm thinking the wire probably just taps into 12V somewhere, but I have looked around and don't see any obvious place it would have ever been attached.

Could be 12v for a radio, remote lock or alarm.

Might remove the upper steering column cover and check for non-factory wiring.

I'm pretty sure it is factory wiring. I'm the only owner of the car. Nothing has ever been added and it doesn't even have a tape player.
