Hi all, my friendly furniture movers had the bright idea of strapping our entertainment center onto the roof of my 2011 Hybrid, and now it's a little out of whack and closes too deep into its well. I have to leave it slightly "open" in order for it to sit properly and keep rain out, meaning I always get the annoying warning. I've tried a couple solutions I've seen elsewhere to reset the mechanism, since that seems to be all that's needed, but none of them seem to work. I've tried holding down either the slide close, up, or down switches, but nothing. Can you help?

 

What have you tried to reset the system?

Are any parts bent or the window off its track?

 

Everything seems to operate smoothly, so I don't think anything is bent. The only problem is that what it considers "closed" is now not really closed.

In order to try and reset it, I've held down the buttons to slide it open and slide it shut for about thirty seconds, plus held down the buttons to move it up and down. Nothing happens. Anything else I can try?

 

You tried moving the tilt switch to closed and holding it for 10+ seconds? The roof does not close or move?

When holding the tilt switch does the roof tilt all the way up and down slightly?
