Default New bottom please help

Hi i am new and need help. I bought this 4 cyl. 98 camry that has no distributer. The car came with spun bearings but I thought I could skate cheap I just put new bearings the camry ate the bearings so fast. So I went and got a 96 2.2 short block same block so I thought, now I am not so sure as I have power to the coil but when I crank the motor I get about .5 volts and that is all i can get out of this new short block, and the same top end from the original 98 distributorless 2.2 (no spark) I have checked the ohms for the crank sensor and do not know how to check the igniter part of the coil the secondary has 13 ohms please help abrat6917

did you used the crank gear from the 98(install all timing components from the original engine on to the replacement engine ) , the crank sensor tooth are on the gear with out them it will not read , make sure to time this engine right , the cam gear mark can be confusing .

Default Thank you so much for your help !!!!!!

Thank you boricua The new motor came from a 50% off sale at pick a part as I am at present poor,so when I took the motor back for the core refund i was giving up any chance of easy fix. So I figured what tools I needed and headed off to pick a part I knew it would be a job as they do not normaly have cars toyotas new enough for that gear. Any way I found one and a couple hours later the car started your knowlege and kindness are the bomb I am truely graitful. my wife was starting to think the camry was going to never start. thank you so much
