I have a '96 4 cyl engine and I need to change the O2 sensor, however, I'm confuse because it looks like I have 2 sensors right next to each other, can anyone point to me which one is the O2 sensor and what is the other one?

They are BOTH 02 sensors. The top sensor is sensor 1- used for fuel control. The bottom is sensor 2- used to verify catalytic converter function. Which one you replace depends on which one has failed or what your trouble code is.
