Oil change interval
1998 Camry - The recommended oil change interval is 5000 miles or 4 months, I believe. If you do not drive much (eg 3000 miles in 4 months), do you still have to adhere to the 4 month rule?

Conventional oil can go 7500 miles, more if all hwy driving. You can change the oil every 6-8 months
If you use a synthetic oil can use a 5W-30, or 0W-30 for colder climate start ups. Change it once a year or 10K miles. If going longer miles between oil changes, get a long mileage filter designed to last longer. . |
Thank you for good news?

I changed my 1995 Camry LE 24k0K AND 2003 Suburban to synthetic. Saves money, my labor and generally better for your engine than synthetic. Vehicles run fine.
