Replacing motor mounts in a 1995 Camry 4cyl Auto.
 

Im about to have my rear seal replaced in my 1995 Camry(285k!), by a reputable shop. She runs solid and only has this problem. I would like to get another year of use, or more, if possible after this repair- $680.00 vs the dealers $1250.

I have a few questions:

Should I replace the motor mounts too? How many are there?
Besides the main seal, are there any other seals I should replace while the engine is out?
Another things I'm missing?
Tips suggestions?

3 of 4 are solid mounts, the mechanic should be able to examine them to make a determination. The front one is hydraulic, check for leaking.

Does the timing belt needs changing in the near future or anything else on the front of the engine. Much, much quicker to do when the engine is out!

Suppose you could clean the EGR valve.

Check half shaft axle boots for damage plus the suspension for any problems.

I too am replacing the motor mounts on a 1995 toyota camry 4 cylinder. How many mounts are there and is there anything /tip I need to know while doing this?

3 on the engine, 1 on the trans.

The trans is seldom replaced.

For the lower 2 on the engine you will need to jack it up.

The upper dog bone mount can be replaced without moving the engine around. Suggest changing the dog bone first and determine if the engine movement issue is fixed.

If not might next look at the front mount which is hydraulic.

Some vibration of the engine is normal, it will never be vibration free. You are looking for engine movement when revved.

For the trans mount, the trans needs to raised as there is a pin on top of the mount. It will not just slide out if the weight is released.
