Service automatic transmission or leave it alone?
Just purchased a 2017 Camry with 107,000 miles on it, no record of transmission being serviced at 60,000.
Do I drain and fill, or leave it alone? I am the 3rd owner. Thanks for any advice. |
The internet has fluid photos which give an idea of fluid condition based on color.
If never changed then now is a good time. A drain and refill with get 30-40% out as the rest is in the torque converter and does not drain out. Do more then one drain and fill checking fluid color until its OK. |

I don't want to cause problems that I don't have now, by removing fluid with friction material needed to prevent transmission from slipping.
I will keep looking at maint records for the car. Thanks |

I agree with that there are really less chances of brake squeal plus i also used brake grease on the slider pins and i found it all worked fine.
