Service automatic transmission or leave it alone?
 

Just purchased a 2017 Camry with 107,000 miles on it, no record of transmission being serviced at 60,000.
Do I drain and fill, or leave it alone?
I am the 3rd owner.

The internet has fluid photos which give an idea of fluid condition based on color.

If never changed then now is a good time. A drain and refill with get 30-40% out as the rest is in the torque converter and does not drain out. Do more then one drain and fill checking fluid color until its OK.

I don't want to cause problems that I don't have now, by removing fluid with friction material needed to prevent transmission from slipping.
I will keep looking at maint records for the car.

At 107,000 even if fluid not changed before, chances of build up of friction material needed to prevent transmission from slipping would be slight.
As toyomoho has said a check of the fluid condition should tell you whats up.
If nervous about it do 4 quarts on the first change and see how it goes.

I agree with that there are really less chances of brake squeal plus i also used brake grease on the slider pins and i found it all worked fine.
