Towing 07-09 v6 SE Max towing?
 

Looking at 07-10 v6 camry tech specs 109.3 in wheelbase, It should tow with no problems and safely up to 2500lb with trans oil cooler.Camry is one of the longest wheelbase in its class! And looking at specs of other cars like the Subaru legacy which has a towing of 2700lbs with a shorter wheelbase 108.3-in the camry should have no issues?

Your owners manual should have the Max towing weight. Typically States start requiring trailer brakes somewhere around 2500 lbs.

If you only do occasional short drive towing you don't need a cooler, if longer term it is a good investment. The newer trans may use a synthetic fluid which is less subject to breakdown at higher operating temps.

The car/engine combo should pull the 2500 lb load fine.

Balance the load to reduce tongue loading as the cars suspension may be a little softer then Subaru and tend to sag more.

Will I have any issues bolting on hitch on a SE model ?

The frame is the same for all Camry models.

Typically these hitches bolt right onto to the frame rails. Typically you need to unbolt and remove the hold down bracket from each frame rail as the hitch uses the same bolt holes.

These brackets are what were used to tie down the cars frame during transportation or to pull the car up onto say a car carrier. For this you can now use the hitch.

When looking for a hitch, attempt to find one that routes the frame over the top of the muffler (if possible) rather then under it. Or at least as high as possible. This may be difficult to find with a looking for a higher tow rated hitch.

The issue with the hitch frame going under the muffler is it can drag on the ground when going over curbs having a dip in them.

Anyone know where I can find heavy duty strut springs or load leveler spring for 07-09 camry?
