Transmission Fluid change: Toyota dealership vs Firestone
After quite a bit of looking around, it has boiled down to either get the transmission fluid changed at my local Toyota dealership for $324.99 or at Firestone for $226.63.
Valvoline will not do it because my 2016 Camry SE (2.5L, L4) does not have a dipstick. And Firestone is doing it only because I have low mileage on my odometer (70,000). Just curious if anyone has had a transmission fluid change done at Firestone for a Toyota. |
Find out if the Toyota dealer is replacing ALL the fluid and not just what is in the trans pan. If so "I" would go with the dealer.
My experiences with Firestone have been less then satisfactorily thus I avoid them. Just my opinion! |
I get coupons in the mail from my Toyota dealership. I always use them for my oil changes and maintainance check. But I don't think I've ever seen one for a transmission fluid change.
Have you? 😊 |
I will take my Camry to the dealer for all things transmission related. I did a drain and fill and 90K. So far, I have not heard of anyone recommending a flush and fill.

Never seen a trans change coupon.
