'89 Camry Intake Question
I'd like to put a higher flow intake on my '89 camry.. it has to 2VZ-FE, V6..
my question is how do i get around the mass air flow sensor??? |
you may have to keep that in there
|
You can install some sensor chip.
|
how might i do that???? i'd like to put an intercooled turbo on it..
looking for a kit that has the intercooler and a turbo than i'l TIG weld up some intake tubes =) |
Yes you most definately need to keep the maf sensor or your car will keep dying. You can go to almost any autostore and buy a maf adapter plate. There afe four pilot marks to drill for the four on the housing and a tube extending to mount a filter on. Make sure u buy the right size, theyre like 12 bucks. And if yout engine has more than 100000 miles dont turbo it untill you rebuild with stronger rods, new forged crank and bearings and if u dont want to rebuild but still want a turbo, dont plan on running more than 6 lbs of boost. So without a rebuild, all show, no go. Big waste
