94 headers

im looking to redo everything from the headers back through the exhaust pipe. Its the 5s-fe 4cyl on the 94 LE. I think that pulls around 110 hp stock (right?). With such low power, when i put on new headers am i gonna want to replace the header gaskets too, or is that only important at higher amounts of power?

Also, do you guys have suggestions about what i should get? It is a daily driver, so i do need to keep the noise down (i work where alot of cops patrol, and i don't want to get cited for being to loud like i did 3 years ago in my taurus :( ). At this point im not gonna spend a ton of money, but i'm going to do it right so i need something that will hold up and get me some more power, but not break my oh-so-modest bank. Ideas? Suggestions? Tips?

Thanks

EDIT:
What is involved with the tuning you need to do when you replace the headers/exhaust so you don't lose any/as much low end torque?

RE: 94 headers

Good luck trying to find anything to bolt on to your cam. I suggest you go to a muffler shop and get all new 2.25inch piping and get an apexi ws2 muffler its a little expensive but its deffinetly what your looking for, nice power and low decibles. You could also look into the rsr-exmag or some magnaflow mufllers. Avoid ebay mufflers unless they're a good brand like borla apexi greddy hks stuff like that

RE: 94 headers

i just noticed that my camry has a 5sfe engine. So does the 96-99 celica. Are they the same engine or differentand they are recycling names? Cuz if theyre the same i can buy celica parts for my camry and they should fit right?

Edit

and apparently so do some of the old mr-2s

RE: 94 headers

Its possible but I don't think it would work. You would probaly have to fab up those headers to make it fit like it should but if they're to long or to short when you get custome piping for your exhaust it shouldn't matter. Let us know if it works
