99 v6 camry, what intake?
i've been searching ebay for an intake for my 99 v6 camry and found a couple of options... i can go with the expesive injen kit which will run just under $200. Or I can get a non-branded one for under $20. Can someone please explain what the difference would be, because i've heard "an intake is an intake." So will it make any difference if i go with either one?

RE: 99 v6 camry, what intake?
be careful...some of those are only partial intakes...take some time to make sure your getting a full intake, and a name brand filter (K&N)
yes, you can find a good intake on ebay for cheap, you just have to look. I found a good one for my camaro for $70 |
RE: 99 v6 camry, what intake?
Go with an Injen CAI instead of some random intake or SRI- two reasons; QUALITY and SMOG. Some cheap brands will not have the DOT or C.A.R.B. (if you live in cali. you need to get one that's C.A.R.B. approved because they'll give you a problem when smog time comes around). Quality is really good and proven; you get what you pay for - das all it is.

I agree with one to hate. Think quality, the amount you pay always doesnt mean its amzing or crappy. You need to look an do research, and find what suits you! i like those Injen CAI's tho

tell us why you want an intake mod....cause if you'redriving around town.. i don't see any benefit to getting one..and you probably won't feel the differance...unless you race on the street
