Best intake for 99 Camry SLE V6
 

Just bought a 1999 Camry SLE V6. I was wondering what is the best intake for the car? Where is the best place to purchase the part?

That depends on where you live. If you happen to live in super strict California regulation land, I would suggest the WeaponR dragon intake. It is CARB certified so you can pass smog. If not, there are alot of good intakes. Are you wanting a SRI or CAI? K&N typhoon CAI is an excellent way to go (I think that is also CARB legal), but you will pay through the nose for it. What is your budget?

I have an intake on my camry. Really there is no point to get one it just makes it sound better. I would stick to the factory box and put a TRD or K&N filter in it.

Well, for me a noticed a big difference in power and accelleration, but my Cam intake is coupled with a Borla exhaust.

I have the borla exhaust also I did not feel any difference. But it might just be me.

I have the 2.4 5-speed. I also changed the pulley, intake, exhaust, had it tuned and other stuff any it is a bit faster that a stock car but it handles much better I have the TRD springs, Koni shocks, whiteline rear sway bar, and brembo drilled rotors. Just to let you know the car is for sale....

That is the same damn set-up that I got off ebay for $40. Sorry to tell you, but you got ripped off. Plus, it is advertising that as a cold air intake, but its only a short ram intake (and no intake without a compressor attached will provide 25 hp).
