exhaust smoking
 

was wondering if anybody knew why when I start my car in the morning a big cloud of smoke comes out for about 30 seconds.

What color is the smoke? Blue is oil and white is coolant. If its blue, its possible that your valve seats are worn (causing oil to drip on the tops of the pistons as the engine sits overnight and then when you start the car it takes a bit to burn that oil off) and if its white you might have a headgasket leak.
Heres hoping that its blue!
