how to remove air filter on 94 camry v6

can someone please explain how to remove the air filter housing for a 94 camry v6? there are 4 clips around the housing that i've unclipped, but i can't seem to lift the top of the housing off....and i'm afraid if i try to hard i will break something. any help is appreciated - thanks
