what to do
 

Ok so I went from a 32 intec v8 to a 2002 4 cyl Camry xle so major loss in power. when it comes to the mechanics I'm good to go, but I've never messed with foreign cars let alone performance. needless to say I know nothing about performance parts, steps, procedures. it is what it is.. a front wheel drive automatic 4cyl Camry so its obviously not gonna be the fastest car on the road and that's not my goal, but you can't tell me that the only thing to do is air intake and exhaust. everyone I have spoken with says that's about all you can do. The Camry is a reliable car just lacks that power to get your heart racing. I know researching helps but knowing what to look for helps even more. so any suggestions or advice would be great.

The engine higher HP engines was used in 2004-5 in the Scion tC and RAV4.

Internal performance parts are available for the Scion engine. The Scion engine may also lack the balance shaft but you would need to check.

Suggest researching the engine from a Scion perspective not Camry.
