08 SE camry V6 Help!!

Ok, So my wife and I recently test drove a 2008 Toyota Camry SE V6. It was very very nice and we both loved it. One thing I noticed while driving it was that the security light kept flashing (up by the clock) when I was going driving down the road! I checked the online owners manuals and everything and I can not find anything about this! If it is nothing major then i will purchase this vehicle.. please let me know what you all think.

Not normal. Could be a simple fix such as a system reset, etc. or more serious.

Since this is the sellers problem, rather then guess or attempt various reset procedures suggest in the purchase offer you state you want the Toyota dealer to check it out. Diagnostic cost and a simple fix such as reset should cost about $100. This could be taken off the price or split. If a more expensive repair then you will know before purchasing the car.

Your going to need to find out why the light keeps blinking, best find out before you purchase. Any reasonable seller would opt for this agreement.

Thanks for the info.
So, how would you reset the vehicle itself? Would the dealer have to do that?
Could the security light that is flashing cause the vehicle to lock up, or not start?

The problem is don't know why the light is blinking but not normal.

These systems typically have some reset procedure like turn the ign key to ACC and back 5 times, or depress the brake 5 times, etc. Don't know the reset procedure.

Doubt if the car is going to lock up.

Did the car come with a FOB and does it fully work?

It Isn't an push to start. I popped the trunk with the keyless entry and it worked fine, along with the lock and unlock buttons.
But just to verify, what is a FOB?

The FOB is the remote.

Your best bet is taking the car to the dealer. Otherwise just be poking around in the dark.
