1999 camry oil psi and tail/brake bulbs
 

hi group and thanks for this forum.
I recently bought my 1st camry, its a 99 and has high miles (239k) but it is nice and we like it.
i have encountered a few issues and would like some opinion and insight from anyone who may know about them.
the oil light flickers at idle (after its warmed up) so i changed the oil and replaced the sending unit but it still comes on at idle only, (note, the oil pump was replaced by previous owner)
also i didnt think the brake lights were working right (the inner ones, inside the trunk lid, the body mounted corner ones are fine) i replaced the blackened bulbs and now they are BRAKE light BRIGHT, and im not comfortable with that, can anyone shed "light" on this issue to this, (no pun intended) thanks group, Clay from Indiana

V-6 or 4-cylinder engine?

Need to attach an oil pressure gauge where the sender goes to check pressure. At idle should be 5 psi +.

Does this car actually have trunk lid brake lights, plus corner and the high mounted light?
