2002 toyota camry sound system help. Cant change bass/treble/fade

Hey guys. I got a 2.4L V4 2002 toyota camry with the type one radio that only has one cd player and not the cd changer. For some reason i cant change the bass, treble, balance and fade. I turn the mode button and see bass come up but cant change it. Any help?
