Default 2004 Camry door lock keeps cycling

First time posting and I really appreciate any help. Recently purchased a 2004 Toyota Camry with only 58,000 miles. Only one problem has showed up - the dashboard "door open" indicator stays lit - does get brighter when an actual door is open and shows which door but never goes all the way out. Sometimes it gets slightly brighter and dimmer, back and forth. And once in the while when I start the car there is an audible clicking cycling back and forth that sounds like a turn signal. The only way I can get it to stop is by opening the door, closing again, open and close the locks, turn the engine on and off, etc. Yesterday it continued while I was driving and eventually stopped on its own. Weird - I think it must be a fuse or a relay or something but I pulled all the fuses one by one and they all look good. Not sure where the relay is....The door open indicator never goes completely out though - sometimes it pulses all night long but doesn't seem to run the battery down or anything.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

Check the door switch on the door jam to make sure it is not sticking.

Default Re-programmed lock mode

Thanks, I pulled out the lock buttons on each door to make sure they weren't sticking. I recently changed the lock mode so that the doors wouldn't automatically lock when you put in park or turn off the engine. Since then the problem seems to have resolved it self other than the door indicator remains faintly lit.....so I'm going to leave it alone for now!! Thanks

I replaced a drivers window motor and regulator on a 98 Camry a few years ago and since then I have had some intermittent issues with the locks. The first one is that when I first get in and close the door, the locks cycle on and off repeatedly a few times. This abruptly stops once I start the car or if I cycle the door open / close switch. Secondly, the drivers lock doesn't always close or open completely, when I use the switch either. I have to manually cycle it. I know this indicates a likely short some where in the circuit, but where and how do I go about locating and fixing it?

If the door lock starts to activate when moving the door, could be bad wiring between the door and door jam. This due to repeated flexing of wiring over time with door movement damaging it.
