2007 Toyota Camry Issue
I have a recently purchased 2007 Toyota Camry with around 173K miles. I noticed after a few days, the front end shaking sometimes when accelerating. I had the dealership I bought it from look it over. They said they found nothing wrong with transmission or engine mounts. They told me to take it to a local, highly reputable shop. I did so. They hooked it up and ran a diagnostic test, as well as test drove it. The owner/tech said he didn't notice anything driving it himself. Go figure. Needles to say, in the recent weeks and especially recent days, it has gotten very bad. When I accelerate or put power to the drive train, it shakes horribly at times. It is worst at 30-50 MPH and as you lift of the accelerator it smoothes right out, so I know it's not suspension. It has to be in the front wheel drive or drivetrain right?
Any help would be great. Thank you:confused: |
Any shake in the steering wheel?
Yes, could be a axle. The car is front wheel drive. |

Shake in steering steering wheel as you sense something is forcing the wheel to move back in forth?

No, everything shakes when you accelerate at speeds of 30-60mph. It's not all the time, but often. When you let off the accelerator it stops for the most part.

A few things to try:
1) When the shutter happens, maintain throttle accel but touch brake pedal enough to turn on the brake lights. Determine if the shutter stops. 2) Accelerate car but leave in a lower gear (don't over rev). Did the shops inspect the tires for issues and or bent rim? |
