2023 Camry XLE - Reservoir Blue

I purchased a new 2023 Camry XLE 2.5 about a month ago. It is Reservoir Blue with a black or dark gray leather interior. I'm stunned the hood struts were replaced by a prop rod (so disappointing). My 2012 SE 2.5 had struts, it also had make up lights above the visor mirrors, and a glove box light too. The car runs well, gets great fuel mileage, rides well (better than the SE), and has a reasonable content.

Watch the tires, my son just bought one and HANKOOK tires fell off the car. Be very careful as we are looking to get them recalled.

One of the first things I did was buy the brackets for the gas struts from Toyota. The mounting points are all there. Go to Amazon and look up 2018 Camry hood struts and purchase the struts there. Toyota wants $70 per strut. You can get a pair on Amazon for about $44.

I replaced the prop rod for about $90 total. Pic of them on my 2023 XSE.
