94 Toyota Camry XLE V-6 Changed TPS but
Hello,
I just changed the Throttle Position Sensor on my car because it dies and the meter confirmed this. But it ran great on Friday. This morning I started the car and it ran at 1,500 rpm's for about 1 min then went to like 500 rpm's. Tried to give it some gas but it died.
I did notice that when at regular idle it's a bit higher then before and when shifting into Drive it hits a lot harder. Could this cause the car to run like crap? I also changed out the Air Intake par as well. Everything is back to the way it was. But I didn't change the Fuel Filter. I'm wondering if it's because the TPS isn't where it should be? Its a 1994 Toyota Camry XLE V-6

Was the engine having the same problems prior to the TPS change?
The TPS adjustment could be a problem.
Did you recheck the TPS after installation. This for the proper resistance readings at the specified stop lever and stop screw clearances?
What is Air INtake par?
The Air Intake Control valve controls idle. Read up on cleaning this valve. Plus cleaning MAF sensor and the coolant temp sensor for the computer.
However check out the TPS setting first if the engine didn't have this issue prior to the change.
