Broke hood latch 01 Camry le
 

Received a response by someone sending a you tube video from 1A auto.97 to 01 hood latch replacement.Already saw that ,video does not cover the 01 specifically and my situation.My latch is attached to the bar that runs down in front of the radiator and doesn't seem to be a way of getting it off.Already removed the 10 mil screws.

How many bolts did you remove?
Please try to reply to the original post so as things don't get repetitive or overlooked.

Only the two on the back, no apparent bolt on the bottom holding the latch on the vertical bar.The latch is cradled on top of the bar .Tried prying it out but doesn't budge.

The video showed a third bolt that was reached with and extension through the front grill, no sign of that one?
Any sign this vehicle has been in an accident?

Thanks, no there is no sign of third bolt.Saw that video.Ended up slightly bending the post forward ,could see back side of latch ,found the small spring had come loose.Reattached and lubricated the heck out of the whole thing and it's Working now.Really appreciate your trying to help.Thanks again
