Buying a 99 Camry CE tomorrow...

Hello guys,

I am new to the forum, but not new to Toyotas, in general. I've owned several over the years, and plan on buying a 1999 Toyota Camry CE tomorrow with 123,000 miles. I've spoken to the previous owners, and it appears to have been well taken care of, recently had the water pump and timing belt replaced. I have owned a 93 Camry LE before, and I loved that car ! Is there anything in particular I need to look out for in this model of Camry, or in this particular generation ? I hope to get several years of good service out of this vehicle before passing it on to my daughter when she turns 16.

16 year old in a CAMRY- hMMmmm.. not really screaming style but at least its free for her! LOL. anyways- check for engine sludge build up.. very common in these cars. they can always say " i took care of it very well ! " - but that's just as far as words go. Grab a TRUSTED mechanic for a couple hours or so and have him/her check it out for you.. it'd be the best $100 you'll spend if you're not mechanically inclined. If you are, then check it out for yourself! GoodLUCK.. hope this pulls through!
