Camry CE 99 - Inconsistent starting trouble.
 

Hi I got Totya camry 1999. It had check engine sign twice but went off automattically. Some times when I start it, the car accelerates to more than 2000RPM and after 1 min or so comes down to 1000rpm(the idle rpm)
Car sometimes wobbles and stops when its slow. Once it stops it doesnt start for few tries. then eventually start.
Please guide me what could be the issues in thecar. 130000 Miles on the car.

idle intake valve could be clogged. Could be other issues, but the simplest, cheapest, safest route to take is to get some throttle body cleaner, remove the intake hose from the throttle body and spray liberally into the area. Let it air dry for about 30 mins. Rehook stuff and restart the car, with foot depressing the gas pedal 1/4-1/2 way down. Once the car cranks up it should idle on its own and perhaps solve your issue.

Thanks a lot for the reply. As you suggested the Throttle body is cleaned.
Additionally throttle position sensor and temperature sensor was not working. So that was replaced. Things are going fine right now.
