Camry owner in Wisconsin

Hi everyone I just bought a 1992 Camry with a 4 cyl and auto trans with 315,000 miles on it for $400.00. I'm pretty new to Toyota considering I'm a Mustang man. I bought it because I really couldn't pass it up. It is in descent shape but does have some problems. The previous owner said that when he puts power steering fluid in it it leaks right out(hopefully it is just a hose) The windshield is cracked, the rear tailights don't work(although the brake and turn signals do work) it has a small leak in the exhaust and the window in the drivers door needs to have the regulator and motor replaced. Do you guys think that I got a descent deal or is that too many miles on a car? Thanks alot for any help you can give me on future questions!

Michael

For $400 buck how can you go wrong. You could probably sell parts of the car for more than that. It will probably last you another 100,000 miles if well mantained.

Should I be worried about changing the timing belt? The last time it was done was with about 200,000 miles on it. That's good to know that it could last another 100,000 miles. I do take care of my cars so I'll probably change all the plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, trans filter(if it has one) and other maintenance stuff.

I think it is due for a timing belt change. You wouldn't want that to go on you. Preventive care is good always.
