Default Child safety seat question

Does anyone know the first year of Camry that the upper tether (in the rear deck) was used? typically vehicles had it starting with the 2000 model year and then in 2003 the full LATCH system was being installed.

Check Edmonds reviews on the year of Camry you are interested in, previous year reviews are still available online and they go into some detail.

Can you clarity what you describing? Toyota published what improvements this model had incorporated each year, can check.

Edmunds had the info. It looks like 2001 was the first year. Child seat tethers are the u-hooks usually covered with a plastic cap that has a pic of a car seat on it in the top forward edge of the rear window deck.
