Hello,
My Camry has been serving me well for nearly 4 years.
It's one of the best cars I ever owned. With 240,000 Km, it may
be time for an upgrade, that without changing the make.
I would also like to stay within the series (1997-2001), but I'm not
sure of the improvements (if any) being made during that period
(I can't even tell the difference between CE and LE models).
I've heard some negative comments on the subject, people claiming
that the newer models were prone to mechanical defects. Is it true?
How 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001 compare with each other?
Your helpful suggestions will be much appreciated.

I haven't heard of that!
I'm sure they won't make new models like that.
