Door Locks Freezing

I have a 1999 Camry and my driver side door lock keeps freezing in the cold temps. This is a new problem, and every once and a while I can still get in the passenger side door, but that doesn't always work. Any ideas how to prevent this?

The best route is lock deicer. Check auto parts stores or the auto section of stores. Find a container that allows the liquid to be pressure sprayed into the lock such as below.

VersaChem 00201 - Lock De-Icer | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Some claim putting Vaseline on the key and working into the lock works but might over time pickup debris and gum up the lock.

If the lock is already frozen heat the key with a match, etc. before inserting.

Once the lock works in a pinch WD-40 will displace any water that is freezing but again over time can gum up the lock.

Ill have to look for that de-icer tomorrow, but ill try using a lighter tonight and ill post my results. thank you.
