Engine code P1656 OCV malfunction
 

My engine light stays on with code P1656 oil control valve malfuntion, so i replaced it and cleared the code and when i started it the light came right back on with the same code. Is there something else i can do? My emissions inspection is due soon and the light has to be off.

Year of car and engine type?

The plumbing may have a filter screen, if so make sure the screen is clear.
